Quman, Co-founder/Chief Delivery Officer of Asal Consulting, is responsible for planning and designing professional services that offer innovative approaches and achieve meaningful impact. She manages Asal’s core technical staff leading different responsibilities, including research, learning and gender equality, justice and security, governance, and program management. She has over 17 years working in the Somali context providing strategic direction and sound technical advice to Asal’s team and partners. As a legal professional, Quman brings profound expertise and extensive experience. Her work in Somaliland involved evidence-based assessments of the justice sector's needs, leading to transformative recommendations and interventions that strengthened and diversified the sector. Quman contributed to the constitutional review process in Somalia, focusing on comparative constitutional law and multi-level governance. She holds a Bachelor of Laws from Brunel University and a Master of Laws in Public International Law from University College London.
