This report explores the complex relationship between social norms and Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) in Jubaland, Somalia. Effectively addressing VAWG in this context requires a thorough grasp of multiple factors, including individual behaviors, socioeconomic conditions, institutional structures, and more importantly, the prevailing social norms that contribute to or mitigate violence. Through qualitative research methods such as focus groups and key informant interviews, our study closely examined these norms across a diverse range of participants, including individuals from marginalised communities.
